What's Next? After high school I plan on joining the Navy. I have already visited M.E.P.S. (Military Entrance Processing Station) and enlisted under a corpsman (HM) contract, but I am working hard to get picked up for a S.O.F. (Special Operations Forces) contract. The S.O.F. contract I am seeking is that of an E.O.D. (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Technician.
In 5 years I hope to be stationed at Little Creek at one of the two E.O.D.M.U.'s (Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit) that are there. These two mobile units work heavily with the president ensuring his safety, as well as working closely with the two S.E.A.L. (SEa Air Land) teams stationed there. Hopefully I will have been deployed to a war zone by then and managed to do the job I will have been trained for. My ultimate goal as an E.O.D. Technician is to get stationed at DEVGRU, also known as S.E.A.L. team six. It will take me more than a decade of outstanding performance to even get a shot at joining DEVGRU. By then, I will hopefully have made the rank of E7 or Chief Petty Officer by then. |
